Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Ven is an app that helps parents find and meet other families nearby. This policy explains what information we process, why, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Danish version is the governing one.
1. Data controller
Bononia ApS
CVR 38129538
Falkonervænget 21, st. tv., 1952 Frederiksberg C, Denmark
Email: franci.stasi@gmail.com
2. What we process
- Account details: email address, your name and a user ID.
- Family profile: whatever you choose to add about your family, such as your kids' first names and ages.
- Photos: photos you upload to your profile.
- Approximate location: used to show families nearby.
- Messages: messages you send to other families in the app.
- Device and usage data: device ID, how the app is used, and crash and error reports.
We don't ask for sensitive information (such as health, religion or ethnic origin). Please don't add it to your profile.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Providing Ven (creating your account, showing your profile, finding families nearby, messaging): necessary to perform our agreement with you, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b).
- Safety and abuse prevention (stopping fake profiles, handling reports): our legitimate interest in a safe service, Art. 6(1)(f).
- Fixing bugs and improving the app (crash reports and usage statistics): our legitimate interest in a stable app, Art. 6(1)(f).
- Legal obligations (such as bookkeeping or requests from authorities): Art. 6(1)(c).
We never sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who can see your information
Other Ven users can see your family profile, your photos and your approximate area. Think about what you share about your kids. We recommend first names and ages rather than surnames or photos of children.
5. Children
Ven is for parents and guardians aged 18 or over. Children don't have their own accounts. Any information about your children in your profile is shared by you, and you can edit or delete it at any time.
6. Processors and transfers
We use providers for hosting, database, crash reporting and push notifications. They process data only on our behalf, under a written data processing agreement. Our processors are Supabase (database, hosting and login, servers in the EU), Expo (push notifications and app updates, USA) and Sentry (crash reports, USA).
If data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this happens only on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
7. How long we keep data
- Active account: for as long as you have an account.
- When you delete your account: your profile, photos and location are deleted within 30 days. Backups are overwritten within 90 days.
- Inactive accounts: after 24 months without a login we send a reminder, and delete the account 30 days later if you don't log in.
- Crash and usage data: no more than 12 months.
- Legal requirements: information we must keep by law is kept only as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format. You can delete your account directly in the app or email franci.stasi@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before the changes take effect.
